ADHD diagnostics for adults.
A structured, guideline-based assessment of adult ADHD — careful, open-ended and with enough time. In Frankfurt, Hannover and online.
Scope
What the assessment includes.
ADHD is multi-layered and overlaps with other conditions. We therefore work in a structured way and deliberately take the time for a sound assessment.
-
Detailed anamnesis
Biographical exploration of your current life and your childhood.
-
Standardised test procedures
Validated questionnaires and tests (incl. WURS-K, ADHS-DC, ADHS-SB, WRI).
-
Clinical interview
A structured conversation according to psychotherapeutic standards.
-
Differential diagnostics
Careful exclusion of other causes to confirm the diagnosis.
-
Written report
A detailed findings report with concrete recommendations.
Process
In three steps.
- STEP 01
Preparation
Beforehand you receive digital questionnaires. Please complete them promptly and upload relevant documents — they form the basis of the conversation.
- STEP 02
Diagnostic sessions
Usually around 3–5 sessions of 50 minutes: biography, symptom analysis and differential diagnostics — tailored to the individual effort.
- STEP 03
Evaluation & report
We discuss the results, confirm the diagnosis and go through the therapeutic and medical treatment options with you.
Preparation
Please bring along.
- School reports — especially the primary-school reports (years 1–4).
- External assessments — reports from people close to you (parents, partner, close friends or colleagues) on your behaviour in childhood and the present.
- Previous findings — if available, older clinical findings or doctor’s letters.
After the diagnosis
How it continues.
Psychoeducation
Understand the basics and particulars of ADHD — and make better sense of everyday life.
Medication
In adulthood, methylphenidate, atomoxetine and lisdexamfetamine are approved, among others — co-occurring conditions such as depression or sleep problems can be treated as well.
Psychotherapy
Behavioural-therapy support — individually or in a group — to process the diagnosis and build new everyday strategies.
Costs
Private billing under the GOÄ.
ADHD diagnostics is a self-pay / private medical service billed by analogy to the German scale of fees for physicians/psychotherapists (GOÄ/GOP). Please clarify possible reimbursement with your insurer in advance.
