About
Background & approach.
After more than a decade of professional coaching and comprehensive therapeutic training, I have run my own private practice as a medical psychotherapist since February 2022 — first in Hannover and, since December 2023, with a second location in Frankfurt am Main.
My work combines medical expertise with modern, integrative psychotherapy. I draw on a range of approaches: from behavioural therapy to schema-based methods, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and EMDR.
Recent years have gone hand in hand with research in trauma therapy, subcellular psychobiology and psychoimmunology, as well as building a mentoring and personal-development offer for individual and group settings.

Career
Milestones of my path.
- 1996–2004
Studied human medicine in Göttingen, at the Universidad de La Laguna (Tenerife) and the University of Alabama at Birmingham (USA).
- 2005
Doctorate (Dr. med.) at the University of Göttingen. Resident in surgery, internal and occupational medicine.
- 2007–2009
Additional qualification in medical informatics (2007), specialist in occupational medicine and travel-medicine certificate (2009).
- ab 2010
Worked in the international insurance industry (Hannover Re), including two years as a medical consultant in Florida, USA.
- ab 2012
Built years of experience in professional coaching. Training for the additional qualification in psychotherapy at a large psychiatric clinic.
- 2020–2021
Training as an Inner Unity therapist.
- 2022
Opened his own private practice as a medical psychotherapist in Hannover.
- 2023
Opened the second practice location in Frankfurt am Main.
