Dr. Hans-Paul Lang

I was born in Frankfurt am Main in 1946 and spent my childhood and youth there. I finished school at the Goethe-Gymnasium in 1965 and went on to study human medicine at the universities of Frankfurt am Main and Würzburg until 1971, completing my doctorate in Frankfurt in 1971.

After working in various hospitals and with the German armed forces, I qualified as a specialist in anaesthesiology in 1978 and became a senior physician. From 1980 I worked as a general practitioner, emergency physician and anaesthetist at a regional hospital, while also studying depth psychology from 1987 to 1994.

In 1990 I obtained the additional qualification in psychotherapy and opened a psychotherapeutic practice. Around this time I also began many years of teaching, including in autogenic training, hypnosis and supervision. In 1995 I became a specialist in psychotherapeutic medicine, in 1996 I added the qualification in psychoanalysis, and since 2014 I have been a certified NLP master.

Over the years I have trained in naturopathy, chirotherapy, hypnosis and hypnotherapy, behavioural therapy and EMDR. I devote myself particularly to psychosomatic connections and to working with imaginative methods.

I am convinced that my broad training and experience allow me to help my clients improve their lives and their wellbeing — always keeping humanity at the heart of my work.
