Leonie Fahrenholz
Psychological Psychotherapist
An open, appreciative stance and a trusting space where your own concerns find room.
About
Background & approach.
I was born in 1995, spent my early years in northern Germany and much of my childhood in Italy.
I finished school in 2014 and began studying psychology in Mainz. Alongside my studies I worked in organisational development, designing trainings on stress, time and self-management. A coaching qualification opened up a broad range of methods, including from Gestalt and body-oriented therapy.
In 2021 I began my training as a behavioural therapist at the GAP in Frankfurt am Main and was licensed in April 2025. During training I worked in a day clinic and a psychotherapeutic practice, supporting patients with affective disorders, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders, trauma-related disorders and personality disorders, as well as stress, exhaustion and sleep problems.
In my work I place great value on an open, unprejudiced and appreciative attitude. It matters to me that a trusting space arises in which my counterpart feels secure. My approach draws on cognitive behavioural therapy as well as schema therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy.
I speak German, English and Italian.
