Maria Stella Mirarchi, M. Sc.
Psychological Psychotherapist
An authentic, human encounter at eye level — attentive to meaning, responsibility and growth.
About
Background & approach.
I was born in Wiesbaden in 1994 and have Italian roots. During my psychology bachelor's I received a scholarship at the IAAP that allowed me to train in parallel as a systemic counsellor — an early foundation for my later therapeutic work.
In my subsequent master's I first pursued a research-oriented path: as a research associate at the Centre for Criminology (KrimZ) in Wiesbaden I contributed to research projects in the forensic field. To this day, expert questions of criminal responsibility and crime as a psychological phenomenon remain focal points of my work.
My clinical work began in the acute setting and continued on a ward for personality and trauma-related disorders. There I first worked with schema therapy and completed the schema-therapy training alongside my training in cognitive behavioural therapy. Through Prof. Dr. Alexander Noyon I also came to know existential psychotherapy, whose focus on meaning, responsibility and growth remains part of my stance today.
In 2023 I completed my licensing as a psychological psychotherapist and that same year became deputy lead psychologist at the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of the Helios Dr. Horst Schmidt Kliniken in Wiesbaden. Since 2025 I have also taught as a lecturer at several universities and contribute to research projects and publications.
My focus areas include personality disorders, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders and trauma-related disorders, as well as accompanying people through acute life crises and counselling for personal growth. Throughout, an authentic and human encounter at eye level matters most to me. I speak German, English and Italian.
